The Volleygirls won their local league to advance to state. Team members who competed at state were captain Martha Oswalt, Eva Dahl, Dianne McConaghy, Nancy Nemec, Martha Ping, Catherine Roraff and Suzanne Tanner-Bertrand.
The 3.0 adult women’s team, the Livewire Dancers, won the Sportsmanship Award at the USTA state championship. Teams and officials voted on the award. Team members who competed at state were captain Mary Aschenbrenner, Kristine Bartley, Mary Dee, Sherri Dunham, Lauri Ford, Elizabeth Fowler, Jeanne Miller, Shari Rampenthal and Shandy Scheidt.
LTTA: In La Crosse Team Tennis Association action, the Five Plus One team won the Tuesday night league, and Glory Days won the Wednesday night league.
Five Plus One team members were captain Ken Oberg, Brian Mansky, Greg Jamos, Jim Henley, Gerald Baldner and Betty Baldner. Glory Days team members were captain Mike O’Neill, Atul Kshirsagar, Sue Pavela, Tim Acklin, Sam Hinton and Laura O’Neill.
