The following appeared in La Crosse County Circuit Court: Accused
Joshua J. Conca, 31, of 911 Grove St., was charged Monday with first-degree reckless endangerment. Conca is accused of holding a knife to the throat of another passenger in a van traveling from a wedding reception early Saturday, according to court reports. People in the van said Conca, who was very intoxicated, threatened the man after Conca was told to be quiet. In court Monday, Conca said he is a recovering alcoholic who drank for the first time in 18 months and doesn’t remember the incident. Conca’s blood-alcohol level was 0.30 percent when he was booked into jail, according to court records.
Richard E. Smith, 24, of 215 S. Sixth St., Apt. 415, was charged with possession of marijuana and felony bail jumping. Smith is accused of having marijuana when La Crosse police stopped a car he was in Sunday evening, according to a criminal complaint. The new crime violates a felony bond on a first-degree reckless endangerment charge.
Richard J. Rowe, 26, of 1003 Zeisler St., No. 221, was charged Monday with disorderly conduct, battery and felony intimidation of a victim. Rowe is accused of punching a woman in the stomach and hitting her in the head with a sandal during a domestic incident early Sunday. During the incident, Rowe also threatened her if she called police, the complaint stated.
Jordan D. Flick, 24, of 5212 Mormon Coulee Road, was charged Monday with delivery of narcotics, illegally obtaining prescription drugs and two counts of possession of narcotics, all as a repeat offender. Flick is accused of offering to sell narcotics to people Friday at a La Crosse motel and at a mobile home park on Hwy. F and having several narcotic drugs, according to a criminal complaint.
