Body found under bridge in Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. � Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the Mississippi River in Sauk Rapids.

A couple walking across the Bridge of Hope spotted the man lying in the water around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
There were no witnesses, so Sauk Rapids Police Chief Perry Beise says police are not sure yet how he fell.

The name of the man has not been released.

An autopsy is being conducted.
