Concrete pavement will be placed on West Avenue from Jackson Street to Cass Street today, resulting in some late-night concrete sawing, officials said.

Traffic was shifted to the west side of West Avenue toward the end of July in order to reconstruct the northbound lanes.
Access to the road from Market Street still is restricted for the week.

The $5 million construction project is expected to be completed by Nov. 1.
