Dunn County Circuit Judge Rod Smeltzer sentenced 26-year-old Bobby Salas to a pair of four-year prison terms. Salas already is serving 18 years for sexual assault and battery.
He must serve the two four-year terms after he completes the sexual assault sentence. Smeltzer ordered him to serve both sentences for the threats simultaneously, but said he would be eligible for parole after one year.
Prosecutors said Salas threatened to kill Pierce County Circuit Judge Robert Wing and former River Falls police Detective Dennis Krueziger for putting him away in the sexual assault case.
Salas' attorney, John E. Schneider, didn't immediately return a message seeking comment.
