Body found under bridge in Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) � Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the Mississippi River in Sauk Rapids.

A couple walking across the Bridge of Hope spotted the man in the water about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
There were no witnesses, so Sauk Rapids Police Chief Perry Beise said police are not yet sure how he ended up in the water.

The name of the man has not been released.

An autopsy is being conducted.
