The outer foundation at Prairie View is in, and the outer walls are going up, said John Daily, building and grounds supervisor for the Holmen School District.

Crews also are working to install several interior bearing wall foundations and underground plumbing and electrical work, Daily said.
Construction at Prairie View, near Hwy. 53 and Holmen Drive, is “on target” to open in fall 2009, Superintendent Dale Carlson said.
In the coming weeks, crews will continue working on the walls and begin installing the floor, roof and windows.
The anticipated finish date is mid- to late June, Daily said.
“That gives us time to get things moved in and get ready for school the following fall,” Daily said.
Holmen voters in November 2007 approved a $17.1 million referendum to build the school and update existing elementary buildings.
The district likely will hire a principal in early 2009 to help build staff and begin working with families, Carlson said.
