The crash happened at about 12:45 p.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Lila M. McGill, 79, of Winona, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Lumnia making a left turn from Hwy. 61 onto Hwy. 43. State Patrol Capt. Randy Slinger said she made the turn against a red arrow into oncoming traffic.
That's when a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Hwy. 61 driven by Grace A. Hudlik, 20, of Woodbury, Minn., struck the passenger side of the Lumina. Hudlik was not injured in the crash, but her passenger, Bailey M. Moon, 20, of Woodbury, was treated for minor injuries at Winona’s Community Memorial Hospital and released.
McGill also suffered minor injuries.
