Trevor Dean Miller was sentenced to 28 months on a felony charge of third-degree assault. As part of a plea agreement, a first-degree assault charge was dismissed.
Miller also was ordered to pay a $50 fine and court fees from his prison earnings.
The charges stem from a fight at a party in Willmar last May.
A man says he was about to leave the party when Miller began punching him, then bit his face when the two men ended up on the ground. The victim had a large circular hole — about 1 to 1½ inches in diameter — in his face and needed surgery.
