Harrell, a former first-round draft pick, entered the league with a history of injuries and has done very little to change the impression that he is about as sturdy as a paper mache hat.
After deciding the team was better off with Harrell than the playmaking Corey Williams at defensive tackle, Green Bay general manager Ted Thompson jettisoned Williams to Cleveland in order to free up playing time for the Tennessee tough guy. Fast forward a few months and Harrell is sitting on the PUP list awaiting back surgery.
I’m not saying that trading Williams was a bad idea, but if Harrell doesn’t start helping this team pretty soon he should have to start buying tickets to the games like the rest of us.
