Lauretta J. Jahimak, 83, of La Crosse died from injuries sustained in the crash, which happened about 12:45 p.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Lila M. McGill, 79, of Winona was in a 2000 Chevrolet Lumnia turning from Hwy. 61 onto Hwy. 43. It appeared she made the turn against a red arrow into oncoming traffic, State Patrol Capt. Randy Slinger said.
A 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Hwy. 61 driven by Grace A. Hudlik, 20, of Woodbury, Minn., struck the passenger side of the Lumina. Hudlik was not injured in the crash, but her passenger, Bailey M. Moon, also 20, of Woodbury, was treated for minor injuries at Community Memorial Hospital and released.
McGill also suffered minor injuries.
