Pets of the Week for Aug. 31, 2008

Reuben is an Abyssinian Guinea Pig. He usually has gorgeous long hair, but we gave him a “summer cut” to remove the matts from his overgrown hair. He is adjusting to the socialization techniques used by the animal caregivers and volunteers here at the shelter, and he would make a great companion for an experienced Guinea owner. Reuben will do well with regular jaunts out of his cage, a lot of high vitamin C greens and a lot of love thrown in.
