Published - Thursday, September 04, 2008 Palin for VP sexist, full of hypocrisy I believe Barack Obama hit it on the head, John McCain just doesn’t get it. Sexist — Kay Bailey Hutchison, Christine Todd Whitman and Olympia Snowe are just a few female Republicans with considerable domestic and foreign experience. If McCain got it, he would realize that feminists want to ensure that jobs and promotions are granted based on merit and not just given to those with little or no experience just because they are young, attractive women. Racist — For weeks McCain has been exclaiming that Obama does not have the experience to lead this country. Oh, I get it McCain. A black man with years and years of experience as an organizer, state official and U.S Senator does not have what it takes to lead. But, a white woman with a couple of terms as mayor of a small town and a year and a half as a governor in one of our least populated states does. Hypocrisy — Again, for weeks I have been hearing McCain speak terms like “Country First.” Yet, he boldly exclaims that “she is just what I need.” So much for the country. God forbid he gets elected and passes away in office. He would leave us with a VP with no experience in foreign and domestic affairs. It’s time we move on in America. McCain represents a return to the failed policies and mindsets of the past. If we are to have a chance for real change, vote Obama/Biden.
