McCain is no maverick
Your front page (Aug. 31) referred to McCain as a maverick. McCain has followed the party line by voting with Bush 95 percent of the time. McCain has flip-flopped on religion. He was anti-fundamentalist, and then became pro-fundamentalist because it offered more votes.
McCain is not a maverick! Portraying opinion as fact is propaganda. Political propaganda belongs in the editorial section, not the front page.
