The German company that bought Katolight in April 2007 is changing the brand name on the equipment to MTU Onsite Energy.
Katolight representative Nan Royce said the Mankato plant's product line won't change, although the German company plans to increase production in the future.
The change is strictly about marketing. It's meant to consolidate the German company's engine, fuel cell and turbine holdings under a new brand name.
It won't combine the actual companies into one. Katolight is changing only its brand name.
