The intersection of Cass Street and West Avenue should reopen early Saturday, officials said.

It has been restricted since Tuesday for reconstruction of the intersection.
On Monday, the east side of State Street at West Avenue will close for about a week.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials have asked that people avoid walking on that stretch until joints are sawed later in the day.

"We realize this will be difficult, especially near the north end of the project, but we would ask that pedestrians use the two designated crosswalks at Badger and Pine Streets," officials said.
