Published - Saturday, September 06, 2008 School district sets TV program topics, times The La Crosse School District next week will premiere the September edition of its “KidsFirst” television program with Superintendent Jerry Kember. Students this month will show how learning continued over the summer with a variety of summer school courses, visit the North Woods International Garden, spotlight an unexpected art form and meet foreign students who are attending Central and Logan this year. KidsFirst is shown daily at 6 and 9 a.m. and at noon, 4, 6:30, 8 and 10:30 p.m. on Charter Communications Ch. 4 in La Crosse. This week’s “New Ways/New Days” program features HorseSense, a therapeutic riding program in the Coulee Region for children with special needs. Paula Charron and Paula Heuners explore the benefits for riders and volunteers. “New Ways/New Days” is broadcast in La Crosse on Charter Ch. 4 at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13; and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14. “New Ways/New Days” also can be seen on Charter Ch. 5 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
