“Red” is the brainchild of editor-in-chief Sydney Burdick and geared toward University of Wisconsin-Madison students.
The cover story of Red’s premiere issue focuses on students who have made an impact on the campus community.
“Red” got started with a $15,000 grant from the Office of the Chancellor and 14,000 copies are distributed in university buildings, the University Bookstore and coffee shops near campus.
About 60 students worked on the premiere issue. Burdick says the magazine will come out once a semester.
