The 84th annual Harvest Home will be celebrated Sunday at South Ridge United Methodist Church, 1781 Chicken Ridge Road, La Crescent, Minn. The church’s former pastor, the

Roman Laus, a Buddhist teacher from Czech Republic, will present the first in a series of public lectures on Wednesday and Thursday. A bluegrass festival is scheduled Oct. 11 at Sugar Creek Bible Camp, Ferryville. Activities begin at 10 a.m. with wagon rides, a Bible study and jamming. Reservations are being taken for an Oct. 13 trip sponsored by 3MF of First Presbyterian Church, La Crosse, to the International Crane Foundation at Baraboo, Wis., for a tour. The trip provides an opportunity to see the world’s most complete collection of cranes — 15 species in all.
