  • Ian Andrews, apostolic director of International Association of Healing Ministries, will speak about healing at 10 a.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday at Rivers Harvest Church, 1001 Quincy St., Onalaska.


  • The 84th annual Harvest Home will be celebrated Sunday at South Ridge United Methodist Church, 1781 Chicken Ridge Road, La Crescent, Minn. The church’s former pastor, the
    Rev. Greg Iverson, will be guest speaker at the 10 a.m. service, which will be followed by a ham and meatball dinner.


  • Roman Laus, a Buddhist teacher from Czech Republic, will present the first in a series of public lectures on Wednesday and Thursday. He will speak on “Buddhism in the 21st Century” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Graff Main Hall, Room 247, at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and on “Meditation in Everyday Life” at 7 p.m. Thursday in the main auditorium of La Crosse Public Library, 800 Main St. The lectures are sponsored by the

    La Crosse Diamond Way Buddhist Center, 1620 S. 16th St., (608) 784-1566.


  • A Hunger Jeopardy tournament will begin at 9:15 a.m. Oct. 11 at English Lutheran Church, 1508 King St., to bring relief to the hungry, impoverished and displaced throughout the world. The event features team games and a luncheon with guest speaker Rodger Price of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America World Hunger.   • A bluegrass festival is scheduled Oct. 11 at Sugar Creek Bible Camp, Ferryville. Activities begin at 10 a.m. with wagon rides, a Bible study and jamming. Family-friendly traditional bluegrass and gospel music by five area bands will be featured from 1 to 10 p.m. Cost is $15 for the entire day. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.   • Feel the Rhythm Spirituality Retreat will be Oct. 10-11 at First Presbyterian Church, 233 West Ave. Author Ruth Haley Burton will lead the retreat. Her focus will be on silence and solitude. Cost is $45 for individuals, $75 for couples, (608) 784-4248.


  • The film “For The Bible Tells Me So” will be shown from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 612 Division St. The film offers healing, clarity and understanding to those caught in the crosshairs of Scripture and sexual identity. For more information, call (608) 784-0452.


  • Reservations are being taken for an Oct. 13 trip sponsored by 3MF of First Presbyterian Church, La Crosse, to the International Crane Foundation at Baraboo, Wis., for a tour. The trip provides an opportunity to see the world’s most complete collection of cranes — 15 species in all. Participants will leave the church parking lot at Cass Street and West Avenue at 9 a.m. Church members and non-members may join the group. When making your reservation, indicate choice of luncheon entree and whether wheelchair or motorized scooter services are necessary. Sign up at the church or by calling (608) 784-4248. Cost is $21.
