" While any accident is tragic, it is especially tragic when it could have been prevented/avoided. 16 year old drivers are not supposed to be on the roads at that hour, period. Had this young man followed the law he would not be lying in critical condition in a hospital. It just proves that young drivers are so inexperienced, make mistakes (passing in a "no pass" area) and people get hurt. I hope he recovers. It begs the question tho, who is responsible? the child, his parents, his co-passenger? The time of the accident is irrelevant, he could have been on that road at a "legal" time and still made the same error in judgement. "

He has devasting injuries and is currently in a medically induced coma, on a ventilator, and his family is waiting to see if he can heal from the head trauma and be the same boy he always was.
