tell me then, what part of jsoc were you a part of, or do you even know what the means? its interesting how gutless someone can be when they are behind the keyboard. there is no arguing the truth of the matter that obama has voted 90% of the time for vets benefits while mccain has only voted 50% of the time. and the reason there was only 30 people there was the same reason why you weren't there, because you really don't give a damn about the troops because you never were one. "To Clumpner and Lee, YOU DISHONOR YOUR COUNTRY!"
Really? Since when is having an opinion dishonoring your country? They want to see the country changed for the better, and also do not want us to stumble into an unnecessary war, blinded by a false sense of patriotism after 9/11. This is not badmouthing our country, it is showing the lack of judgment and preparation by the Bush administration in rushing us into Iraq, when as these young veterans have said, the mission of fighting terrorism should have been focused on Afghanistan.
They also are bringing up the need for more funding for veterans when they get back in order to get the services that we owe them.

But that would mean getting yourself under control and the bloggers here know how hard that would be. I know you wouldn't get bin Laden because he's in Pakistan and Bush says he's not important. Too bad Americans were fooled to agree with him in 2004 and we are still paying the price. "

How about the enlistment bonus? Probably not. If I had soldiers like this in combat I think I would have to move on down the line. Those guys forgot the first rule of in war. It sucks and drive on and that's how the big green weenie works. "

That's why I love to read all this passionate talk on the blogs. True soldiers don't have that option in war. They due as they are told, and yes it sucks. But the argument ends with muzzle end of a M-4, 240B or the Ma D. Then all talking stops. "

That sound really good, but Senator Obama wants to pay for everything with the savings from Iraq. The math just doesn't add up.
If he's elected, I hope that he does all of what he said he's going to do.

" It also looks like these guys were shocked by the reality of war. It isn't all sanitary like it is in the video games where you only kill the bad guys. War does distrupt every life involved, that is why John McCain was for more diplomacy to avoid a war in the first place. He also realizes when diplomacy fails it is an all or nothing event that requires full support from the people and the government, which is no longer the case here. We the people have gotten too soft and the American "empire" is near collapse because of it. We can only hope to come out as well as the British when their empire collapsed. Worst case scenario we are facing the problems of the Roman empire under Caligula and Nero! "

" There are two types of cowards, those afraid to fight and those lacking the intestinal fortitude to speak out against what is wrong, especially in leadership. Personally I think the latter is the hardest to do. Sometimes it takes all of your personal courage to do. There are ways around the chain of command when the chain fails or is corrupted. The IG can fix it if it is warranted. I have had one of my company commanders relieved and one of my battalion commanders was relieved for conducting a "secret mission". If Clumpner was a true hero he could have tried to remedy the problem instead of this method which challenges the public confidence in the military. In my book he is the worst kind of coward. "

" Clumpner sounds like on of these guys I meet from time to time that are attached to a special operations force and claims the go on all of these secret missions (which they often do), only to find out researching to find out they were guarding a tent or building (or stuck on the FOB working in the MWR tent) while the unit is on operations. They are usually cooks or clerks in those units and want to justify wearing the patch. One example I have from my career was a friend of mine in college that claimed he was on all these operations with the 82nd Airborne. I later found out through a MI buddy that he was injured in jump school and medically chaptered out of the Army. He pulled some strings after he healed (probably a medical review board) and joined the Iowa guards. "

Why is it that you can't be a veteran/active duty soldier and be a democrat, or for that matter, disagree with the war? Perhaps you turds should enlist and do a tour in Iraq, see the atrocities that these people have seen, woman and children killed, soldiers blown up, head trama, missing limbs, etc. Most folks don't enlist for that! The war will end in two years at the earliest enven on his timeline and he advocates increasing the force in Afghanistan (how will he pay for that?) We are running a huge deficit in Iraq, so does that mean he wants to run a deficit for vet benefits? Where will the money truely come from. Bottom line will be raise taxes or no new benefits for vets because there will be no new money. Obama will be no friend of the veterans. Vets will be better served by a vet! "
