Sparta, Wis., native Andrea Tsilis has been named the Viterbo University head softball coach, the school announced.

Tsilis has been an assistant coach at both area colleges for the five seasons, including the past three at UW-La Crosse and two at Viterbo.
Tsilis played at UW-La Crosse from 2000-03 and was a three-time All-WIAC catcher. She still ranks third in career doubles (33), fourth in career triples (nine) and fifth in career batting average (.355) and home runs (10).

Tsilis replaces Ryan DeLong, who resigned in July after two seasons.
