In a televised CNN campaign rally at Johnstown, Pa., this summer, Obama stated “If one of my own daughters experienced an unwanted teen pregnancy, I wouldn’t want them to be punished by a baby.” Check CNN’s Web site .
Second, Obama pledged in a televised speech to a Planned Parenthood gathering that the first thing he will do as president is sign the “Freedom of Choice Act,” which according to the bill’s own supporters would abolish all bans on partial birth abortion and parental notification laws nationwide and would take your tax dollars to implement tax-payer funded abortions. Check out the bill.
Even if you are pro-choice on the abortion issue and believe it is a woman’s decision along with her doctor and family to make this decision, the vast majority of Americans do not believe their tax dollars should fund abortions. Obama does believe that and, if president, will sign this bill into law.
The Catholic Church and other religious leaders have rightfully condemned politicians who are pro-abortion but claim they are Catholic.
If you believe that promises
of tax cuts outweigh your own moral or religious objections to abortion, even when the abortions will be be funded by your hard earned tax dollars, then by all means vote for Obama.
