The 500 Club program is a healthy eating program that identifies menu items that are about 500 calories or less and controlled in fat.
Gary and Cindy Neumeister, who have owned The Commodore since 2000, say customers have said they are interested in knowing how to find healthy menu items, and the 500 Club will identify such items. 500 Club menu items include chicken, pork and fish dishes, plus great specials every day. Gary says, “The best part of owning The Commodore has been creating a fun, economical and comfortable place to dine and socialize for our community.”
Dick and Laurie Zierke own Pla-Mor Lanes and have managed it for the past nine years. Prior to this, Dick’s father owned the bowling alley for 30 years. Pla-Mor Lanes has introduced new menu items at the 11th Frame Diner including deli wraps, salads and grilled chicken sandwiches.
Central Express in Westby features a Dashboard Sub 500 Club menu along with a restaurant menu offering healthier choices. The restaurant soon will serve 500 Club items for breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to kid-friendly choices. The Cashton location also serves the Dashboard Sub 500 Club menu. Owner Heather Olson says her favorite 500 Club choice is the grilled chicken wrap with honey mustard.
The next time you are planning your meal away from home, do something good for yourself — choose to be healthy by enjoying a 500 Club meal.
