TOWN OF EASTMAN — Four people were injured Sunday afternoon when a pickup truck towing a boat went off Hwy. 35 north of Prairie du Chien, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.

Jason Fossum was southbound on Hwy. 35 near Hwy. D when his truck crossed the center line and went in the ditch, hitting a driveway. The boat and trailer detached and traveled 60 feet before striking a tree, the department stated.
Passenger Matthew Meyer, 23, of New Berlin, Wis., was listed in fair condition Monday at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. Fossum and passenger Andrew Ceballos, 23, of Muskego, Wis., were taken to Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, but no condition was available. Passenger Jason Zokan, 23, also of New Berlin, was treated at the hospital and released.

Fossum was cited for inattentive driving, according to the sheriff’s department.
