MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers claimed third baseman Casey McGehee off waivers Wednesday from the Chicago Cubs.

McGehee, 26, spent most of last season at Triple-A Iowa. McGehee batted .296 with 12 homers and 92 RBI in 133 games. In a September call up, McGehee hit .167 and drove in five runs in his first nine major league games.
To make room for McGehee on the roster, infielder Joe Dillon was designated for assignment.
