The district was forced to spend $275,000 for repairs last year just to keep these ancient giants running (this figure does not include routine maintenance costs.) In addition, Trane has offered to donate
HVAC equipment currently valued at $600,000 to the school district if the referendum
passes.
The annual tax impact ($23 per $100,000 of property value) is less than what it costs the average family to go out for one fish fry dinner. Please make our children’s schools and education a priority Nov. 4, and vote “yes” on the school referendum question.
