Police: Boy, 15, shot 17-year-old

.
A 15-year-old La Crosse high school student accused of shooting another teen during Oktoberfest’s opening weekend is expected to make his first court appearance today.

The boy was taken into custody Wednesday and faces a juvenile charge of recklessly endangering safety.
He is expected to be in juvenile court today, though charges are not expected until later. Prosecutors have until next week to decide whether to waive him into adult court.

His name and address were not released because he is a juvenile.

The 17-year-old victim said he was walking to his car late Sept. 26 after leaving a party at Ninth and State streets when he found two masked men leaning against his vehicle, according to La Crosse police reports.

The 15-year-old climbed into the back seat, demanded money and pulled out a gun, according to reports.

The victim was shot as he was getting out of the car. The bullet entered the right side of his right heel, exited the left side and lodged in the left heel.

A .22-caliber round was recovered during surgery and taken into evidence, according to reports.

The juvenile also faces a charge of attempted armed robbery.

Police still are looking for the second suspect.

The victim was arrested on drug charges, huh? "

This is an old story with a new twist. Look up the original article from September, and the paper reported the victim was arrested. They left it out this time, I WONDER why.

As to the Obama-Nation, you may NOT vote for Obama, but when the polls have him UP by over 10pts in Wisconsin, some of your neighbors are going to vote for him.

My 6:54 AM was supposed to be sarcasm. "

" To EIPPA187555
Trust me,I pay so much in taxes, license, permits, etc that it would make your head spin!
I just know that when I was growing up, a good old fashioned kick in the butt was all I needed to straighten me out! The government took that away from the parents and that is why we have so many out of control kids now.
I also have nieces & nephews & can see the difference in the way myself & siblings were brought up - we range in age from 40-28, so it wasn't that long ago! "

" To nana3
Yes, my parents choose to have children, but they also paid school taxes! If I live to be able to collect Social Security, darn right I'm gonna take it -if it is still there! I've been paying into it, why not collect!? "

The victim was arrested on drug charges, huh? Another example of poor parenting...
When your friends/neighbors vote for Obama, cuz mine won't, I'll feel a bigger pince. For right now it just makes me feel good to voice my OPINION! "

" I happen to know someone personally who had a child who committed some pretty serious crimes and he had all the parental guidance in the world. You have to understand that no matter how much guidance you give your children they can be easily influenced by outside sources. You would be amazed at what kids can get a hold of in school or by talking to another kid who knows another kid and so on and so forth. Parents definitely need to be as proactive as possible with their children, but when it all comes down to it they cannot control everything their kids do or are exposed to. We have to hope that they will listen to what we have taught them and make the right choices. "

" When a 16-year-old aims a loaded .22 caliber pistol at another human being and pulls the trigger, I will DEFINITELY call it a lack of parental guidance. This is the sort of thing that parental guidance is meant to prevent. Don't play with matches. Don't do drugs. And don't try to take the life of another human being. "

EIPPA187555 wrote on Oct 31, 2008 11:35 AM:

" Believe it or not Kimmie there are a lot of things that our tax dollars are paying for that we may not agree with, but that is reality. Don't put the blame on the parents either because a lot of times kids that do things like this aren't necessarily lacking in parental guidance, but since you chose to be child free you wouldn't know how hard it can be to raise kids with all the negative influences out there. "

nana3 wrote on Oct 31, 2008 9:45 AM:

" RE:kimmie, your mother did not choose to be child free, so taxpayers paid for the schools you attended. You will also be old some day, are you going to turn down social security checks?

Last but not least, if you were THE ONE funding programs to help kids, the rest of us could bring home bigger paychecks! "

Consider This wrote on Oct 31, 2008 6:54 AM:

" First:

The "victim" in this case was also arrested and faces DRUG charges, so neither is an angle. They aught to send them both "up the river."

Second, and directed directly to (kimmie):

After Tuesday, when your friends and neighbors send a clear message that they PREFER to live in the Obama-Nation, you WILL be paying for exactly what you said your sick of paying for and oh so much more. "

kimmie wrote on Oct 31, 2008 12:23 AM:

" Another reason all these kids need a good old fashion boot in the butt!
I'm way too sick & tired of paying for everyone who think it is MY responsibility to take my tax dollars to raise their kids!
I chose to be child free, so I don't think I should be the one funding anything to help these kids. "
