Tri-State offers drive-in flu shots

.
Tri-State Ambulance is offering two ways for patients to get their flu shots this year: a “mobile clinic” using on-duty ambulances and a drive-through clinic.

The ambulance service is partnering with the town of Shelby to offer a flu shot clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Shelby Town Hall.
Patients who are unable to travel to a flu shot clinic can benefit from the mobile flu shot clinic program. Tri-State paramedics will vaccinate patients in their home.

To schedule a flu vaccine at home, patients can call (608) 784-1568 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The appointments are scheduled for a two-hour window, and on-call ambulance personnel make the house calls to give vaccinations between ambulance calls.

The cost of the program is $20, and Tri-State will submit the information to patients’ insurance companies so they can be reimbursed for the cost.

" Insight

My garage needs to be organized. I would hate for my elderly mother to trip on the mower. Could you send a crew over to my house and straighten it up. Unles, of course, they are too busy sitting at Shopko burning Diesel fuel. "

" Monsterman: If it would help keep the people safe, prevent falls and create a safer environment for them, they certainly would - at least they are taking the iniative to keep people healthy and prevent unecessary trips to the hospital - "Medical Care in Motion" or "The Right Care, Right There"... " Good job Tri-State. Your doing a good service for the community, far beyond your normal duties you all have to do. "
