Thompson to campaign for Hegenbarth in 91st

.
Tommy Thompson, the former Wisconsin governor and U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services, will campaign today in Galesville for Republican Assembly candidate Dave Hegenbarth.

Thompson will be at a tailgate party at 3:30 p.m. at the home of Don and Mary Stoner, 16972 Crestwood Lane.
He later is scheduled to flip the coin before the start of the playoff football game between G-E-T and West Salem.

Hegenbarth is one of four candidates seeking to replace Rep. Barbara Gronemus, who is retiring.

Gronemus endorses Radcliffe in 92nd

Though she has remained neutral in her own district, retiring Assembly Rep. Barbara Gronemus has endorsed Democratic candidate Mark Radcliffe in the 92nd District.

Radcliffe, of Black River Falls, is running against Republican Dan Hellman of Sparta for the seat Terry Musser of Melrose has held since 1984.

Gronemus said Radcliffe shares her passion for agriculture and is committed to health care reform and changing the state’s school funding mechanism.

The 92nd District encompasses nearly all of Jackson County as well as parts of Eau Claire, Clark and Monroe counties.

Gronemus, a Democrat who has represented the 91st District for 26 years, has refrained from endorsing any of the four candidates vying to replace her.

" I'm sorry, but Tommy Thompson campaigning for Hegenbarth is a good thing. . . uh, how???

Didn't TT do enough to embarrass the great state of Wisconsin when he was in Washington sounding like a complete know-nothing BEFORE actually thinking that running for president was a good idea?

Your "fifteen minutes" lasted longer than most, Mr. Thompson. Please sit the rest of the hour out. "

" Went to High school and played sports with Dave. Kind of arrogant and not much of team player, not surprised he is running as a Republican. "

" Only myself and Paul Beseler have consistently advocated for spending discipline in this campaign.
This story is about as news worthy as the one they ran about Kind endorsing Danou.
Dave Hegenbarth's lobbying group has worked to get legal protection for grocers to increase food prices by 30% in an emergency situation such as a tornado. How is price gouging going to help people? "

" Tommy, you're one of them Borrow-and-Spend Bushies, ain't ya?

Do check out the Borrow-and-Spend Republicans versus the Fiscally-Conservative Democrats debt chart here...it takes a quite a few seconds to load because of all that whopping Republican debt! Someone's gonna have to pay all that Republican debt: you and me, not McCain's Wall Street base.
