Justices Lorie Gildea and Paul Anderson both won re-election.
Gildea was going before the voters for the first time since she was appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty in 2006. With more than 60 percent of precincts reporting, she drew 55 percent of the vote, compared with 45 percent for her challenger, Hennepin County District Judge Deborah Hedlund.
Anderson had 60 percent to 40 percent for his challenger, Tim Tingelstad, a family court magistrate from Bemidji who was making his second run for the high court, campaigning on an openly religious, anti-abortion platform.
In the only contested race for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, incumbent Judge Terri Stoneburner defeated International Falls attorney Daniel Griffith, 58 percent to 42 percent.
