La Crosse man charged in attack

.
Multiple felony charges were filed Monday against a 19-year-old La Crosse man who authorities said assaulted and robbed another man at gunpoint.

The 22-year-old victim said he was at Dominique Tovsen-Caseres’ home at 1640 Hyde Ave. late Saturday when Tovsen-Caseres put a handgun to his forehead and mouth and demanded money. Tovsen-Caseres also choked the victim and struck him in the forehead with the gun, according to the complaint.
After the victim gave up jewelry and $150, Tovsen-Caseres left in the victim’s Chevrolet Tahoe.

The victim borrowed a friend’s car and found Tovsen-Caseres and another man in his vehicle at the Walgreens at 900 West Ave. S., where the victim and his father, in a separate car, attempted to box in the stolen vehicle.

But Tovsen-Caseres drove into the victim’s borrowed car and fled, the complaint stated.

Tovsen-Caseres was found three hours later on a city bus, soaking wet and without shoes, according to La Crosse police.

He told La Crosse County jail staff his injuries were from jet skiing earlier Saturday, according to reports.

The Tahoe had been abandoned on Mississippi Street.

Nine charges were filed against Tovsen-Caseres in La Crosse County Circuit Court, including armed robbery with use of force, substantial battery, strangulation and suffocation.

He remains in jail on a $75,000 cash bond and will return to court Monday.

A warrant also has been issued for Anton Page, 22, in the incident.

" Sorry "concerned mom" but you are wrong this is out of towners. The 22 year old involved in this(Anton Page) has a rap sheet split between here and Milwuakee. And guess what? All the early stuff is there all the later stuff is here. Some punk can't hack in in the big city so they come here because they know the police force is soft and busy busting house parties and most people don't carry guns. You are so wrong with your comment! "

" I have seen this little f***er steal a car outside of my house on Avon St. Yes it was reported. He is a real POS. And don't forget to look up the 22 year olds rap sheet "Anton Page" that little s**t has list 10 miles long. No wonder he went after him instead of calling the cops first. Time to pass concealed carry. These little punks will pull a gun on the wrong person and hopefully that person will save us a lot of tax money by..... "

" This criminal's mom was born and raised here adnd I am pretty sure he was as well. So this is not a case of out of towners like everyone things. find out facts before jumping to conclusions. I think he she pay the price to the full extent of the law for what he did. I think all criminals should. no matter who they are.. "

" La Crosse has been engaged in reverse gentrification for years. Slumlords continue to rent and aquire crappy rundown properties, put no money into them and rent to the lowest common denominator, which in turn lowers property values, increases crime in neighborhoods and makes them more appealing to gangbangers and low income families, which in turn makes decent people of all races want to get out. Something needs to change. For once I agree with Krusty. Don't blink, it will probably be the last time! :-) "

" A better story would be why he wasn't in prison when this crime was committed. On 8-14-08 his supervison for a previous Armed Robbery with Threat of Force was revoked, and he was ordered to serve one year in prison. I guess he was getting everything in order to serve his sentence????? What a joke! "
