The 22-year-old victim said he was at Dominique Tovsen-Caseres’ home at 1640 Hyde Ave. late Saturday when Tovsen-Caseres put a handgun to his forehead and mouth and demanded money. Tovsen-Caseres also choked the victim and struck him in the forehead with the gun, according to the complaint.
After the victim gave up jewelry and $150, Tovsen-Caseres left in the victim’s Chevrolet Tahoe.
The victim borrowed a friend’s car and found Tovsen-Caseres and another man in his vehicle at the Walgreens at 900 West Ave. S., where the victim and his father, in a separate car, attempted to box in the stolen vehicle.
But Tovsen-Caseres drove into the victim’s borrowed car and fled, the complaint stated.
Tovsen-Caseres was found three hours later on a city bus, soaking wet and without shoes, according to La Crosse police.
He told La Crosse County jail staff his injuries were from jet skiing earlier Saturday, according to reports.
The Tahoe had been abandoned on Mississippi Street.
Nine charges were filed against Tovsen-Caseres in La Crosse County Circuit Court, including armed robbery with use of force, substantial battery, strangulation and suffocation.
He remains in jail on a $75,000 cash bond and will return to court Monday.
A warrant also has been issued for Anton Page, 22, in the incident.
