The La Crosse County Board of Supervisors will hold a hearing on its 2010 budget at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the basement board room of the County Administrative Center.
Under the budget proposal, the county property tax levy will increase by 2.66 percent - up from $28.21 million in 2009 to $28.96 million in 2010.
The impact of the budget on an average $150,000 home will be an increase of about $7.50 a year in the county portion of the property tax, according to County Administrator Steve O'Malley.
County board members will continue their budget deliberations at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the board room.
