Potential candidates for the April 6 municipal and school board elections can circulate nomination papers starting Tuesday.

The deadline for filing completed candidacy and nomination papers is 5 p.m. Jan. 5. Papers must be filed in the municipal or school district office.

County board candidates must file in the county clerk's office.

A primary vote, if needed, would be Feb. 16.

Three three-year positions are up for election on the La Crosse School Board. Incumbents clerk Mary Larson, Ken French and Tom Thompson have terms that expire in April.

Nomination papers can be picked up at the Hogan Administrative Center, 807 East Ave. S.

The board will have an informational meeting for anyone interested in a school board seat from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. Dec. 7 in room 112 of the Hogan Center. Those planning to attend are asked to call the superintendent's office at (608) 789-7628.

All 35 La Crosse County supervisor seats are up for election. Candidates must have a minimum of 50 signatures of voters in the district being sought.
