Two weeks before Michael Jackson's "This is It" tour was supposed to start, the King of Pop died.
But the music lives on with "This is It," a documentary about the planned tour that can be seen at 11 p.m. today at the Marcus Theatres' Cinema in La Crosse and the Winona 7 in Winona, Minn.
Advance ticket sales haven't been brisk, but many people wait until opening day to buy, said Winona 7 manager Jason Fremstad. The first night is selling out in larger cities.
"It's been promoted pretty heavily across the country," said Cinema general manager Jennifer Cram.
The PG film will play for two weeks, though Fremstad said it is possible that could be extended, as happened with such films as "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert."
