Both La Crosse medical centers have received large shipments of seasonal flu vaccine and will begin vaccinating anyone who wants it, officials said Wednesday.
Franciscan Skemp patients can start getting the seasonal flu vaccine Friday by appointment with their physician. Public clinics for both the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccines will start next week.
Gundersen Luth-eran on Friday will announce next week's schedule of seasonal flu vaccine clinics.
The La Crosse County Health Department will set up public clinics as soon as seasonal flu vaccine arrives, said Doug Mormann, department director.
The seasonal flu vaccine is available to anyone, but restrictions still apply to the H1N1 vaccine. Health officials this week expanded the group that can receive H1N1 vaccine to include all school-aged children and young adults up to age 24.
