Tribune, we've been subscribing and reading you faithfully for 29 years, but we're beginning to question our commitment. We just felt sick when we saw "3 bad pitches" emblazoned across the top of Monday's paper. What a needlessly negative banner for the end of this summer's magnificent Loggers season. And what an unfair burden to place on a terrific young athlete who has contributed so positively during his first season with the team.
This is not the first time lately that we've been dismayed by a lack of taste and worthy news sense in our hometown paper, but it is finally the time that we felt compelled to speak out. Loggers and Tony Mueller, thanks for all the excitement, fun and pride you've given to our community this summer.
You're the best!
