MINNEAPOLIS - A Minnesota hamburger parlor that sued McDonald's Corp. in federal court over the phrase, "Who's your patty?" has settled the issue.
Michael Lafeber, an attorney for The Lion's Tap in Eden Prairie, said the parties reached a "mutually beneficial amicable resolution.'' He did not disclose details.
An attorney for McDonald's did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment Thursday.
The lawsuit claimed Lions Tap registered the phrase in Minnesota four years ago and also applied for a federal trademark. McDonald's recently began using the phrase in conjunction with its Angus burgers.
The lawsuit had asked for monetary damages and that McDonald's stop using the phrase on labels, billboards and other advertisements.
