Tony Mueller will return to play for the La Crosse Loggers in 2010, the team announced Wednesday.
Mueller, a La Crosse native (Logan High School), pitched the Loggers to their first playoff win in franchise history on Aug. 11 against the Eau Claire Express.
In his first season in the Northwoods League, Mueller went 1-1 with a 2.95 ERA in 291/3 innings as a starter/relief pitcher. He batted .295 with 10 stolen bases while playing 55 games, primarily as an outfielder.
Mueller is in his sophomore season at Winona State University, where he is expected to return as the Warriors' starting center fielder and weekend rotation pitcher.
The Loggers also announced that assistant coach Joe Potulny and pitching coach Justin Ramsey will return next year.
